In high school I remember our French teacher noticing our copies of Gatsby and remarking, "the rich... are different." Great encapsulation of that book, and of the mood in this one--which is better than Gatsby and I will fight you if you disagree.

Don't let yourself be spoiled if you can help it. Goes from "good for her," to "wait, no, good for her," and right on back again. If you know, you know.
