A great book! It keeps the more mature tone of the first book, while bringing in new elements and some of the old ones we love. Especially that signature humour making a return is an absolute delight and elevates this a little above The Lost Hero.
Accompanying a familiar character into unfamiliar territory, getting to know the flipside of the world we already know and love is a lot of fun. It also helps fill in the gaps from what we've learned about and via Jason, so the story is perfectly complimentary.
The new friends are even more lovable than our first trio of the series and everything is completed with the return of a couple of old favourites. An all around joy!
