Accidental Attachment by Max Monroe

4.0

Accidental Attachment is about an author that sends the wrong manuscript to her super hot editor. She blames the wine. But her editor loves the book she’d written to get her fantasies about him out of her brain, so she plays along. His boss okays the new book, but in the mean time, she needs to go on a cross country tour for her last books being turned into a Netflix series, and she has a fear of flying, so Brooke and Chase take off in an RV to work on the new book while doing the publicity tour. Many shenanigans happen along the way.

I appreciate the authors writing Brooke as having a rare medical condition, as that I have a few different ones myself. But they show how Brooke has a service dog hero and has many other ways of coping with her blood pressure getting too low or too high. People with rare, debilitating conditions are just as capable of finding love as anyone else.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves a mild to hot spicy romantic comedy. Some of the jokes fell flat with me, but I have my own strange sense of humor. There was more than enough to make up for the few I didn’t care for. These ladies know how to write something you want to read or listen to! The narrators for the audiobook were top notch. Sometimes with dual narrators, when a woman does a man’s voice or a man does a woman’s, they are confusing. You get used to one voice for 10-15 minutes and then all of a sudden that person’s voice sounds completely different. Luckily these narrators made it more stable. I recommend them both in general.

I received a copy of this audiobook for an honest review from Netgalley.
