This was a really good debut novel. I’ve never read an historical fiction about the women’s suffrage movement before, and it was as informative as it was entertaining. I especially liked seeing the difference between the MC Helen and the other women she worked with, and how their different socioeconomic statuses influenced their actions, expectations, and ideas about the movement. I even wish this was a little more deeply explored! There are some sections that are difficult to listen to, others that frustrated me to no end, and parts that made me laugh out loud. I listened to the audiobook and while it took me a little bit to get used to the narrator, I really enjoyed that format!
