This book was everything I hoped "The Secret History" would be! So if you found Donna Tarrt's book too slow-paced, or sophisticated, or insert any other reason that makes you not understand the hype around it - READ THIS ONE! The story is VERY similar just (imho) more engaging and enjoyable - It made me want to read Shakespeare and I don't read Shakespeare (as a non-native English speaker). Let that speak for itself.
Also loved the queer and mental health/trauma representation, always appreciate that!
