Our Stop was a cute and entertaining read!

The premise was adorable, and the characters were likable from the beginning of the story, which I think is super important!

SPOILERS BELOW THIS POINT

I can admit to relating to Nadia way more than I should have, and I fell for Daniel right away. They both had such complicated backgrounds that kept them from being completely open to the idea of genuine connection, and they were different enough that it didn't feel like they were written for each other (though they obviously were...).

I rated this lower than I normally would because, after the second missed connection, I was beginning to grow tired of waiting for them to meet. We don't even see them interact face to face until the last 1/4 of the book, which just feels like a letdown when reading a romance novel. I, personally, would have preferred more interaction between our romantic leads, though I see how it would complicate the story a bit. This does, however, spare us from the dreaded third-act breakup.

When it seemed like Nadia was going to move on with Eddie, I was genuinely sad for Daniel and ended up wondering what the catch was going to be for Nadia's "perfect" relationship. Though Eddie turned out to be a perfectly nice guy, and thankfully didn't add to Nadia's emotional trauma, I was relieved when they parted amicably. I even ended up feeling kinda bad for the guy...

The "twist" with Emma and Gabby was something I saw coming from the moment Nadia mentioned feeling jealous of how well they got on, and how they were both acting cagey. I am quite glad that Nadia did not harbour any ill will toward them for keeping their relationship a secret. They didn't owe anyone a "coming out" announcement, not even their mutual best friend. That was refreshing to read!

Overall, the book was enjoyable and I would consider suggesting it to a friend. It's not going on my Book of the Year bracket, but it was definitely an enjoyable story overall.
