Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy by Sadhguru

1.0

Despite my self-bias toward mysticism and self-proclaimed "guru", I thought of giving this book a try: A rather disappointing decision. The author uses the word "dimension" to the level of repetition, such that readers/listeners can play a drinking game to take a sip at each utterance, and get quite drunk in mere few pages. I have read sci-fi books with authors describing higher dimensions with much more imagination than Mr. Jaggi. To play the devil's advocate, I can see traces of Nietzsche's philosophy in the text but, not concrete thoughts surrounding it. The author also describes"western" philosophers in terms of Kafka and Dostoyevsky, but again fails to form a concrete understanding of the same. To me when an author tries to hide behind jargon(s), it's a rather failed job to enrich the readers with knowledge or even excite any imagination. Overall a waste of time.
