The Bratva's Heir by Sophie Lark, Jane Henry

5.0

We are getting so spoiled this month with not one but two releases from Sophie and let me tell you we are already off to a fiery start with this one.

The story starts with Constantine in jail for a murder he didn’t commit. He’s angry and hellbent on finding whoever frame him for it. But first he’s got to get out from behind bars. Being the only heir to the Bratva has its perks and Constantine doesn’t plan to stick around long enough to let his enemies get a hold of him while he’s incarcerated.

Clare is just starting her new job as a correctional psychologist and Constantine is her first patient. While he’s reluctant to cooperate with a mandated mental health evaluation he’s intrigued by this innocent bright woman who has foolishly put herself on his radar. When he finds out about her real identity he knows he can use that to his advantage. Clare gets swept up in a search for justice she never asked to be a part of but once she’s in Constantine’s gravity she cannot help but he pulled in. As hard as she fights she cannot help but submit to him. Can they work together to prove his innocence and bring the guilty party to justice? And even if they do avenge the murder can they find a future together with their opposing pasts?

I was gripped by this story from start to finish. I had to tear myself from my kindle just to get some sleep. This story consumed me. I needed to know what was going to happen next. And the heat you guys. This is next level kink and steam compared to Sophie’s other books. There is a ton of spicy scenes that will leave you needing to cool down! Clare is such an interesting dichotomy as a professional woman defying her parents for the first time while also thriving off of the thrill of submitting to Constantine. The evolution of their relationship was perfectly paced and again it’s hot as hell.

If you’re looking for your next hot mafia romance to read then look no further!
