Great Speeches on Gay Rights by James Daley

4.0

great compilation of speeches. with them we get a sense of the history of the gay movement in a new, unusual and super interesting way.
there are definitely a lot of quotable moments in the book, and i think it could be an interesting introduction to queer activism history.
i didn't find the last few (more recent; late 90s early 00s) speeches quite as interesting, but they fully represented the emphasis placed on gay marriage for the last 2 or 3 decades of the movement.
