Ashes Reborn by Keri Arthur

3.0

Ashes Reborn is the fourth book in Keri Arthur’s Souls of Fire series, and it’s left me with a number of questions. Although I would not label this my biggest urban fantasy addiction, it certainly had me wanting to see how the story played out. I fear, however, that I’m never going to find out. Thus, I recommend people be aware of the fact before going into the series.

Although this one left me with a number of questions, it was another story that I was happy to power through in a single sitting. A lot happens in this series, and this book has all the elements thrown into it. Lots of pieces came together in this one, with things moving at a rapid pace, but it still wasn’t enough for me to fall completely in love with the series. At this point – and after some of the events that happened in this one – I think it’s because there’s no emotional connection with the main character. The story is interesting, but there is no real feeling that has me hurting alongside the characters.

All in all, this was another addictive addition to the series, I just wish there was more to give me the answers I need.
