This isn’t the first book by this author I’ve read, but if I hadn’t liked some of her others, it would definitely be my last. Woo boy. This one was just not likable. I could not force myself to like the heroine at all. She had no redeeming qualities. Like none. And the hero, had he been given proper time to be fleshed out and we could see more of his character, he probably woulda been just fine. As it was, he was just meh for me.

And can we talk about the “magical” element? I felt like she needed to be ripped out of the last timeline she was in and taken back one more time to do everything from the beginning but without acting like a fool. I just, didn’t like how she was so ineffective and I felt that her learning her lesson was just not that climatic. I don’t know, call me crazy but if you’re going to have some fantasticical element, do it properly.
