Meant for Her by Amy Gamet

3.0

Julie Trueblood, math whizz and cryptographer extraordinaire, is the daughter of a traitor to the US Navy. She took her mothers maiden name and tried to ride out the storm. Though her father was branded a traitor Julie believes he was set up and she knows who by.

Navy officer Hank Jared only wants to get home to attend his sisters Xmas Eve wedding. But he's ordered to look into the discovery of a body, left as an anonymous tip on his bosses phone. The murder leads him to Julie's door, and she's not in the mind to help the Navy. But once her flat is ransacked she decides he may jest be able to help her. With nowhere else to turn he takes Julie and her aunt Gwen home, hoping to hide them in plain sight at his sisters wedding.

There are lots of twists and turns in the plot. Red herrings a'plenty. I did enjoy the story although the instant trust and then just as instant distrust between Hank and Julie did get a bit much.
