The previous novel ended with a detailed epilogue, so this book wasn’t really necessary but did help fill in some gaps. Odette’s extended family and the loose ends she left in Seattle weren’t addressed at the end of the second book, so my nosiness compelled me to read this. It really reminded me a lot of why I enjoyed the first book: the chemistry between her & Gale was superb, Wilhelmina proved why she’s an elite mom, and Augusta & Yvonne got the short end of the stick like they deserved. There were minor editing errors.
Moderate: Sexual content, Xenophobia, Grief, and Pregnancy
Minor: Alcoholism, Drug use, Gun violence, Miscarriage, Racism, Vomit, Dementia, Car accident, Death of parent, and Murder
