Okay I could not put it down. I read till 2am in the morning to finish this because I was so encaptured in the story!
I like the story as a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, especially the twist about it that the author put in there. I‘m in love with Harper, the character‘s amazing - I think it‘s really well-made how her cerebral palsy is just part of her, how it just blends into everything she does without any effort in the writing visible, or how she learns to stand her ground. I also liked reading about Rhen‘s perspective, it was way better than some other two-perspective-stories I‘ve read recently, simply because it was more believable, more human.
I wish we could have seen more of Grey though, he seems like a really interesting character, but what I‘ve seen from the second book, I will get that very soon. I gotta say though, towards the second half and end of the book I still had the feeling
SpoilerHarper‘s love interest could have gone either way. The romance wasn‘t as pronounced (and smutty, which in this case I appreciated) as in other cases, so it was not quite clear where the author wanted to go with this - even though it was kinda predictable because there‘s, well, the fairytale? But you never know. And Harper had good, nice, lovely moments with both of them? I loved reading about how they both warmed up to her eventually and became smitten by her personality, the same way yi did. Very cute.
