Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Amelia Nagoski, Emily Nagoski

3.0

This book is perfect for those who may need validation about their own feeling and experiences. I personally resonated with most of the book. However, the strategies were definitely common solutions that one can easily change in their life. I read self-help books not because I'm necessarily trying to improve myself but to understand the nature of the human condition and find solace in knowing many people are experiencing the same thing. I enjoyed the different references and historical aspects of our society's different ways to create this seemingly neverending cycle of burnout, especially in women. I would recommend this book to those trying to understand burnout and those who feel guilty to meet the expectations of a variety of external forces. It's a good foundational book.

I cannot say my life changed after reading this, but I became a little more informed, and I think that's a good thing.
