The Beast by Katee Robert

fast-paced

3.75

Your answer to the classic Disney question - what if Belle, Beast, and Gaston all wanted to f*ck each other?

The inciting incident in this book was pretty bonkers (Of course, both your ex’s want to make a fun-ishment sex pact with you at the same time 🤣) But we’re here for crazy fun... and this was definitely fun.

The origin of this throple is strong. Everyone has past history with everyone else. Gaeton and Beast have an enemies to lovers vibe that plays out slowly over a few books, which makes it all the more sweet when they give into their desires, and the triangle closes.

Unfortunately, Isabelle is sadly underdeveloped. She is mostly used a bridge to more interesting chapters - Gaeton, Beast, her sisters, and the Sea Witch. It’s disappointing because she has the potential but she’s overshadowed.
