This book was incredibly challenging and listening to the audiobook made it a little too real for me - I mean some scenes made me feel physically ill. But with that being said, it was also written very movingly and the scenes were set up so well and the characters were distinctly lovable/hatable. It’s hard to say I enjoyed this book or even that I recommend this book; I think it was an important story but is not meant to be read by everybody.
