I enjoyed this! I find the main characters endearing and I really like how the cooking aspects of the manga reinforce the world-building. As the characters learn how to hunt creatures and how to cook them, they also learn about the biology and the behaviors of said creatures. I also really liked how the manga touches upon how different cooking techniques and methods of food cultivation affect the taste of certain food ingredients. As a foodie, these details please me immensely.
While the manga is lighthearted and cozy, I like the fact that the characters end up butting heads over minor disagreements. While the conflicts are never heavy or prolonged, they actually make sense for the characters and are not silly arguments with obvious solutions. I appreciate this a lot because I feel that some writers of cozy stories avoid conflict between the characters out of fear that conflict will ruin the cozy vibes.
Definitely planning on continuing this series!

Moderate: Animal death, Death, and Violence
Animal death: this content warning refers to the deaths of the fantastical creatures the party members kill and cook in the story. Some of them have physical characteristics that are similar to real-life animals (ex: the basilisk looking like a combo of chicken and snake). Other than that, there is mention of dogs dying as part of a food harvesting method but said deaths do not occur in the story proper. As far as the death content warning: resurrection from death is extremely common in this universe so while the main characters encounter a handful of corpses in this volume it is not treated as traumatic or horrific. Some of the characters actually mention some of the deaths they have experienced prior to the start of the story.
