Although I did not care for The Protector's War, A Meeting at Corvallis recaptured the magic of the Emberverse series for me. Where the prior book relied a little too heavily on the Wiccan faith and on violence, there was more of an emphasis on intelligent problem solving and on diplomacy/spycraft.
Great end to the trilogy!
