An Autobiography by Angela Y. Davis

informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

4.5

It was really interesting reading this book immediately on the heels of Malcolm X's autobiography. I liked Malcolm X's radicality, but not so much the way he treated women and talked about them. It was so refreshing to read Davis's autobiography - someone just as radical and also feminist. Davis's book was very enlightening, not just about the particulars of her life, but also about police brutality and the history of resistance. I really enjoyed the audiobook, which was read by Davis.
