This was a fast-paced continuation of The Hitman. Zoe and Shae are sent to Italy by the Council of Aunties to find Zahra, Zoe's sister and Shae's cousin. They stumble on Shae's one-day stand and into Salvo's troubles. Zahra shows up and Salvo declares that they have to separate to avoid whoever is trying to kill them while they figure out who that is. Zoe is sent off with Alfonso, who takes them to his family home on an island. Zoe is fresh off a break-up and has a lot of emotions to come to terms with as well as jet lag. Alfonso and Zoe lust after each other and start to see things they like about each other than their figures. I do like how they are becoming soft for each other. This is definitely an HFN rather than a HEA, plus it ends on a cliffhanger.
