I really loved this.
My favorite thing that that the MC's weight is not the main focus in this comic series! Which is so great, because more often than not, when a MC is overweight it is the primary focus.
I also enjoyed the snippets of background info that we go through the comic. The formatting was nice and easy to read. One of my biggest issues with the layout of some comice/graphic novels is that speech bubbles en up in the crease of the pages and that can be hard to read and cause the reader to lose some of the enjoyment or impact of a certain scene.
Overall I have to say that this was a great start and it felt a lot longer than it was. I will be reading volume 2 (and probably all of the other issues.)
