Far from the Light of Heaven by Tade Thompson

dark mysterious
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes

2.75

This book was definitely trying to do a lot, but I feel like it had so many balls in the air that it just ended up fumbling most of them. This mostly goes for the characters, as the changes in pov made it harder to keep track of the plot, especially when it switched to the pov of a character for just one chapter before leaving them again. The character concepts were interesting, they just didn't have enough room to breathe. Also,
SpoilerI'm not a huge fan of mysteries, but it seems weird to me that the murderer was only introduced about 2/3 of the way through the book.
