The Half-Life of Ruby Fielding by Lydia Kang

2.0

I had such high hopes for this book. It was my first attempt at an Amazon First book, and I thought, well if Amazon picked it for this, it’s gotta be good, right? The time period is one of my favorites when it comes to historical fiction, so I jumped in with both feet. Although it was still a quick read for me, I felt like the whole book was all over the place. There was something missing with the characters, I felt like I didn’t know them at all, even by the end. There was a lot of convoluted relationships that made the story line very complicated.
