I don't know why but I'm kind of obsessed with hockey romances right now. This friends to lovers YA romance was good but I felt like it was too short for the story told. I wanted more time getting to know Jackson and Malina's friendship before it turned into something else and wanted the angst and the will they/won't they to go on for longer. It felt a little rushed because the entire story needed to be told in a two-week time span. I liked seeing Pierce and Lia again and love the hockey focus but it needed a little bit more of a spark.
