Oh my, this book was exactly what I wanted.
Book 2 starts off right where book 1 ends. This book is full of secrets, banter, tension, emotion, and political navigation. Aurelia grows more into the young woman she is and needs to be. We get to see more of the Princes, but I definitely have my favorite. I was cheering for that one from the first book.
That dancing scene at the festival.. iykyk.. I was grinning, laughing, and loving that twist, but I had a feeling that would happen. This book is fast-paced and captivating. I loved getting to see more of the realm and the royals. The surprises and twists were mostly able to be predicted, but I still loved seeing them and how they played out. I can't wait to see what happens after the end of book 2.
