officially my favorite book of all time. a pure character study of literature’s best teenager.  salinger is a master of character and relationship dynamics. franny and zooey are great but the 3rd person narrative is restrictive. getting to DIVE into holden in first person is so fun. the voice and style is INCREDIBLE and INSPIRING. its about death and grief and growing up and trying to figure out what the fuck is the point of life at all. turns out the point of life is sitting and chewing the fat with ur little sister.

i already want to reread it but i gave it back to the library. i love u holden caulfield
