Buffy the Vampire Slayer: A Picture Book by

As a cohost of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast (Get Slayed, go listen to it on iTunes, Stitcher, and Googleplay!) I am often forced to explain Buffy to people who don't really know what it is.
Sometimes those people are my little nieces.
While this book doesn't follow the logic or rules of the show (which is a complaint I saw a lot of), it is true to the essence of Buffy. Brave kids take on monsters even when it is scary. It doesn't really matter when she met Willow and Xander and the age complaint seems a little obnoxious. What we get here is a delightful take on a young Buffy and how fighting your demons actually starts--kids hearing spooky noises in the dark.
