Kase-San and an Apron by Hiromi Takashima
3.0
Updated reread on 6/5/2020:
Dropped from 4 to 3 stars.
I'm starting to realize my problem with this series is that I like certain parts of each volume, but not the whole volume. I liked the crepe stand bit and the final chapter, but I didn't like the girl drama in between. It's frustrating because when this series is good it's a fun, light read, but when it's below average I ended up skipping chapters to get to the parts I like. If it were one or two volumes, this wouldn't be a problem, but so far it's been EVERY VOLUME. This isn't a bad series, but I'm not as invested in it as I used to be.

While I have to say I'm not totally down with the girl drama that occurred in this volume, what came from it is more than worth it. Inoue started out as an overbearing potential past lover character, but she's really just protective of Kase and even apologizes to Yamada for being so harsh. I like how Kase and Yamada finally addressed their issues to each other, it seemed a little late but better late than never, right? I loved seeing Yamada stand up and become more assertive and I loved seeing Kase protect Yamada from those creepy guys. I'll admit, I was worried when Kase told Yamada not to wear the apron, but after she stopped those guys, I understood her reasoning and it didn't feel forced.
