I didn't know the last 80 pages would turn this into a thriller. This was adorable yet heartbreaking. I didn't see that plot twist coming at all and that just made the book even more interesting than just your typical ya romance. It explored other topics besides romance such as identity, mother-daughter relationships and forgiveness. The ending was adorable and the perfect way to finish this. The author's acknowledgements for her husband were so sweet to read as well.
(I honestly thought it would've been more shocking if her mom had killed her husband and son like that would've had me spiraling)
