Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach

Not quite the delight that Stiff was, possibly because there's much less concrete to discover about the afterlife than about cadavers. Mary Roach's humor still took a front seat, which helped to make some very dry sections far more entertaining. Do not skip the footnotes--some of those were my favorite parts. Overall, the book didn't keep its feet on the ground, but the journey was still worth it.
Moderate: Death
Minor: Chronic illness, Cursing, Terminal illness, and Medical content
