this was a really lovely book and one of the few childrens "classics" that i can actually see children reading, which after peter pan was a nice suprise. and in reading this i can really appreciate th decissions made in the movie. that being said there is so much more in the book than the movie. I loved the truth about emerald city although i was not so happy with the loss of the ruby slippers and i did not care all that much for this version of the wicked witch. this is quite a wonderful book that i know i will read again.
