What the heck was this? 350 pages of pure frustration to be “rewarded” eventually. I both hated and loved this but my frustration with the first 300 pages really overshadows the love part. You gotta be really invested to get through whatever those first 300 pages were. Maybe it would be better on a reread but I’m not sure it’s worth doing that. Sometimes the fact that this is difficult to understand comes off very pretentious, in my opinion. That drove me nearly crazy. And yet I couldn’t stop reading this. I HAD to know what heck was going on for it to be so freaking confusing. I’m probably going to take more of a break for Nona though.
