The second installment of the Three Shades Trilogy has me thinking Adele and I could definitely be friends. We both love people and the community but dislike excessive physical touch, which is enough to win me over. I feel your pain, sis. Well... not pain, just the eww.
Victories are short-lived because enemies keep popping back up and stirring drama. Not a moment of peace for Adele, Rune, Elijah, or anyone else in Bricen, because how could that possibly be when angels and demons (and a human cult) are at war?
A Vengeful Shade might have less action (only a little less) than the first book, but we are faced with one daunting revelation after the other. This is the book of secrets, people! Of unveiled secrets! Most of the questions in Shade of Light are answered here, but we're still left with the uncertainty of what might become of our friends of Book III.
Happy reading!
