The Offer by Catherine Coulter

"I enjoy Catherine Coulter immensely. She has a nice way of mixing historical romance and mystery. This book, which first appeared as An Honorable Offer, had been extensively rewritten.
Back Cover Condensed - Sabrina Eversleigh runs away from home after her new brother-in-law attempts to rape her. She would surely have dies in a blizzard if Phillip Mercerault had not rescued her. He nureses her back to health only to find that he is not a hero. Instead, he's a gentleman who has compromised a lady. Now there's only one thing left to do - marry her.
But Sabrina turns him down, leaving him completely baffled. . ..
There's no great mystery to this one. But it is a good read. It's a nice time waster."
