The premise is great as someone who grew up on creepypasta but the character desperately needed to be explored more. Val, while not as boring of a narrator as people says she is, definitely could have been better written at some points. The rest of the circle, while you hear their backstories, you can really feel connected to it because it’s all said more in passing then to actually develop them at points.
