An Artist of the Floating World, by Kazuo Ishiguro

3.0

Ishiguro is one of my favorite authors and yet this book wasn‘t for me. While a few interesting ideas are considered throughout the novel, the characters remained one-dimensional for me, thus rendering the reading experience less pleasant then expected. If one wishes to become familiar with Ishiguros work, I recommend The Remains of the Day, The Buried Giant and Klara and the Sun, which are all fantastic.
