Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton

3.0

Not at all what I was expecting. For one, the cover is a total mislead. The paperback I got from the library showed a slender woman's bare midsection with a wilting rose and its petals across her belly. For another, this book was recommended to me as an alternative to 50 Shades of Gray. Sure, an alternative; Dr. Seuss is an alternative, too. There wasn't one bit of sex in this whole book. Vampires and wererats, murderers and fetishist parties, and one make out scene, but no sex. Whatever. Aside from all the false advertising, it was a good mystery. The actions scenes were excellently described and the main character was a fun narrator.
