I will be raving about this book to everyone for a long time. I will try to write this review without giving away anything about the story because it really is a book you should step into without knowing anything about it. Once you do start reading, the world will pull you in, gradually at first, until you are completely lost in it. The writing is beautiful and explores themes of memory and myths, while the world building literally pays homage to the Italian architect Piranesi. It is a short book but so mesmerising that you lose track of time. I would also recommend the audiobook, narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor, which further elevates the reading experience.
