I really didn’t like Viv, so since she was the main character, it made liking the book difficult. I couldn’t get a good read on who she was outside of trying to get Jace’s attention because that was pretty much her entire personality. She just came off as reckless, insecure and incredibly desperate. Even though he was a total jerk in the beginning, I ended up thinking Jace deserved WAY better than Vivienne and hoping he’d break up with her, which probably wasn’t the point. ;)
