The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal

4.0

3.5 stars. I read this for my book club and found it really enjoyable. The author's note at the end that explained her choices regarding the science and timeline was especially interesting. I liked that the villain wasn't all bad - he had his good aspects too which made him feel more realistic as a character. There are a LOT of side characters and I couldn't keep them all straight. I found Alma and her struggles with anxiety to be realistic and true to her experiences growing up.
