This was a short, breezy read that had me hooked. I finished in just three sessions, and I loved getting to see a part of the Crowns of Nyaxia world that wasn’t Obitreas. It really fleshed out the universe and shows how much thought Broadbent put into her world building.
I adored Lilith as a character (like many, I saw parts of myself in her). One thing I’m hoping to see addressed in Ashes isVale’s feelings towards Turned vampires/King Raihn now that Lilith is also turned.
It’s somehow lighter than Serpent (in terms of violence) & more tender, but make no mistakes - even in the realm of the white pantheon, this world is kinda just dark. This story shows that the Gods of the Pantheon can be just as cruel as Nyaxia to their subjects.

Graphic: Chronic illness, Death, Sexual content, Violence, and Blood
Brief, implied attempted assault. Nothing happens but it’s heavily alluded to in one scene
