I think I know why this is a big favorite, mainly for the fairly uncommon way the plot develops and barriers fall into place for Helen and Rhys. While I did enjoy the angst and really like Helen as a character, I wanted just a teensy bit more from the third act, especially the couple dealing with the consequences of adoption in Edwardian society. Pandora continues to be my favorite so I'm excited for her book next!
