Green Arrow, Volume 2: Island of Scars by Benjamin Percy, Juan Ferreyra, Nate Piekos, Otto Schmidt, Stephen Byrne

3.0

Emiko's story is more compelling than Oliver's in this collection. The Green Arrow plot line is overly heavy handed in its use of popular terminology without exploring any real social issues, but was a convincing way to get Ollie & Co. back to Seattle. I actually like this one slightly better than the first collection in the Rebirth series, if only because the villains aren't quite so over the top. Still, it needs some character work and, for a series originally published in 2016, can we please get some armor on Black Canary that makes sense?
