I'm going to be very short in this review by saying that I don't like how the author handled the love triangle angle.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Why would the heroine choose both male interests at the same time? She was completely selfish and immature and ignorant the whole time. A very unlikable character that for someone everyone was smitten by her.

Morpheus was pretty much the only character who had some growth but then again, I have to raise an issue with his grooming and the sort of 'pedo' vibes I got from him. This is because the writer, in her attempt to write  a sexy YA out of a children's story, she made it more cringy than what it should be.

Jeb was the epitome of gaslighiting, jealousy and toxic masculinity. Seriously, I can't fall for his act. Seems to me like the author tried to convince us Jeb was an important character for Alyssa only through her POV and only by constant waffling. From the very beginning, you get to read the books, you realize that Morpheus is supposed to be the one and only the heroine has to end up with.

I have lots of issues with the way the author handled her teen characters and the objectification of Alyssa. Do I recommend this series? If you're still in for an Alice in Wonderland retelling with sexy men, and can bypass all those issues, why not?

For me, the series was mediocre, cringy and a bit of a try-hard to impress me.
