Very cute ya contemporary romance. It has good representation of a Pakistani-American Muslim teen girl. It also gets into politics, and touches on important issues. But it does it in a way that’s makes me so invested in it. I was emotionally attached to these characters, they are so precious. I also love how the narrative switches between both characters so that you can see the viewpoints of both of the characters. It is so cute, I really liked it.
Spoiler Jamie is so freaking precious. I’m so glad that he and Maya are ending up together. Their friendship is so sweet. Also, when they were on the phone with each other and watched “the office” together (like synced the TVs or something) and then fell asleep on the phone!! Aww precious.
