The writing and characterisation was rather better than some I've read in this series, but overall, I still had a few big issues with this book.

Spoilerish thoughts:
1. Perhaps this is just me, but I want this series to be about people finding ways to make their little superpowers matter.  I have no idea how that would play out for Andy, but neither did the author.  His powers are mainly something he's disturbed by, and the uses of them are him trying to learn how to manage them better.
2. Likewise, I didn't need the life-threatening situation towards the end to be solved quite so conveniently!
3. The sex came across as "the editor says I have to".  I would rather have had a bit more build-up & heat, and then closed-door, rather than this Wham Bam Done.
4. Instalove :(
5. SPAM continue to be inconsistent -- April superpoweredly knows enough about Andy and Sam to hire them, and have all the answers when they initially call her ... but also has no clue about the ongoing actions of the bad guys.  And if my employer put me in harm's way, then said "here's a wadge of cash, go away until it's better" I'd be very pissed off.  The support could have been much better written without blocking the plot.
