An absolutely beautiful, delightful, warm hug of a book! Each of the characters were lovingly crafted and interacted so seamlessly with one another. The plot was full of fairy tale tropes but the way in which they were interwoven felt fresh and exciting while still benefitting from their nostalgia. I could take a dozen more of these, but at the same time the ending was deeply satisfying. I knew I would love Kingfisher, and I’m so glad to have finally confirmed it.
