Release the Beast: A Drag Queen's Guide to Life by Bimini Bon Boulash

To be honest, I'm not really the target for this book. I loved Bimini when they were on Drag Race UK, so I figured I'd try their book.
I enjoyed the sections about fashion, runway looks, and their discussion about coming out and the ideas of being non-binary. It was also interesting to read about the effect covid had on the LGBT communities, and how toxic it can be as well.
However, most of the rest of the book is sort of self-help, sort of autobiography, which became repetitive but didn't really say much. I wish they had gone into detail about their struggles, and that the book had been a bit more linear with the stories.
Some stuff I just thought was silly like mentions of star signs, positive thinking, and manifesting luck. A great read if you're a fan of Bimini, and their tone and humour is often hilarious, but not a brilliant read.
