Ten Steps to Nanette: A Memoir Situation by Hannah Gadsby
5.0
I don't think that anything I could write in my review would bring justice to Hannah Gadaby's '10 Steps to Nanette'. But I would like to say that if you are on the fence about this one, just get it. I think Hannah's narration brings life to this heartbreaking yet beautiful retelling of her life up until Nanette.
Everyone can take something away from this book, whether you're a part of the LGBTQ+ community or not, whether you love or hate stand up comedy or if you're neuro-typical or neuro-divergent. I felt heard and seen and appreciated and to complete the experience I rewatched Nanette immediately after finishing the book, which made me feel closer to any stranger than I've ever been.
Thank you Hannah.
